This is a traditional light treatment, in which heat is emitted onto the tissues in form of the radiation of infrared and visible light generated by the lamp-radiator i.e. a high-power bulb. Depending on the filter being used for the treatment (either red or blue), the treatment effect is either anti-inflammatory or analgesic.
