Fango

This is a thermotherapy treatment, in which a  mixture of paraffin and fango mass, which is mineral sludge of volcanic origin,  is used for local overwarming; this kind of sludge has been used for therapeutic purposes since ancient times, especially in the areas where it is originally found. „Fango” means therapeutic sludge in Italian. There are various types of fango sludge. In our health resort, we use the German parafango, which is rich in minerals. The parafango mass is characterized by high heat capacity and low conductivity. Such properties make it ideal for deep and long-lasting local overwarming of human tissues. Temperature of 500 C.
